What/Qué - Bring together the learning of Spanish & our classroom - Build Key Knowledge and Skills: - Use vocabulary appropriate to your level of Spanish (1 or 2) - Cultural Background Knowledge- the “flavor” of the Spanish speaking world

Outcomes/Resultados 1. Have a welcoming & fun environment for the rest of the school year 2. Learn and apply cultural content 3. Connect the Spanish speaking world with your own classroom experience- our reason for learning! 4. Experience creating a project with your peers

Driving Question/Pregunta Clave How can we design and create a learning atmosphere that exhibits/encompasses the Spanish speaking culture?

Grouping/Formando Grupos La Profe Aji will organize an activity to form you into groups of 4 or 5.

Field Observations/ Observaciones de campo Tour the classroom. There are 21 groups. Choose 1 spot on the wall. Have an appointed person to begin sketching a design. Where are the windows and doors? Approximate dimensions of the space you will use. 10 min. (Frid 9/3 and Tues 9/7)

Final Plan/Plan Final Draw the group’s final idea/plan on paper, labeling important coordinates of major attributes of the space. Detailed plan on what will be researched, how, when and how responsibilities are being shared between group members.

Presentation of plan/Presentación del plan Periods 1, 5 & 6: Frid Sep 10th Periods 3 & 4: Mon Sep 13th You will have 3 minutes to present your plan to the class. Be sure to use some of the vocabulary in your presentation.

Revision/Revisión Revise your plan based on the feedback given in class (peers & Profe). Make a materials list. Make a plan with you group for execution by due date!

Final Project Rubric You will be graded as follows: -
