Minimum Expected Output A prudent, impartial, and justifiable review and evaluation of peer’s commitment and involvement in accomplishing group tasks. Instructions: In your personal notebooks for our class, rate ALL your groupmates according to their commitment and involvement in accomplishing group tasks with 10 being the highest as 1 being the lowest. You may also substantiate your rating by providing remarks/comments on their performance. Sample core analysis of A sample of applying key learnings from Module 1 through 9 by addressing a core magnum opus question on a chosen magnum opus. Choose just one between Noli or Fili. LT17 Core Questions: With the attached files as ready reference, choose at least one (1) chapter from a chosen Rizal’s immortal novel to comprehensively address the core questions below. Note that this major task is a culminating measure of your entire meaningful learning throughout this course. Chosen Chapter: Core question for the Noli Me Tangere: The Noli Me Tangere was written to vividly present a detailed and critically keen description of Rizal's time, at least in his formative years (i.e., 19thC Phils). Focusing on the chapter you chose, cite the scenes, characterizations, personalities, even the general or backdrop statements that reflect or manifest the historical realities of such time. Exhaust as much as you can, be it in the realm of political, economic or social milieu. As a start-off point, it will be functional for you to use the very first lecture in this class (The Philippines at Rizal’s Time) as a guide or any historical source that you have access to. Ikutang tanong para sa Noli Me Tangere Isinulat ang Noli upang mabigyan ng detalyado at mapanuring paglalarawan ang kapanahunang kinamulatan ni Rizal (i.e.,19thC Phils). Sa kabanatang pinili mong basahin, anu-anong mga tagpo, paglalarawan, personalidad, maging mga mapanglahat o pahapyaw na mga pahayag ang kumakatawan o sumasalamin sa mga katotohanang pangkasaysayan ng panahong iyon? Magbigay ng hangga't kaya mong suyurin, maging ito'y sa aspetong pampulitika, pangkabuhayan o panlipunan. Chosen Chapter: _______________________ Core question for the El Filibusterismo: Rizal’s three works sought to form a continuity—1) establishing the “past” through his annotation of Morga’s historical work, 2) exposing the “present” through his Noli, and 3) to finally sneak into the “future” through his Fili. With Fili as an instrumentality, it is in essence an exploration on the possible responses or a formulation of not a few actions with regards to the existing structure of the time—obedience and assimilation, resistance of various intensities (the extreme of which was to break away through an armed struggle). Based on the chapter you chose, exhaust all forms of responses and actions among Filipinos—so predictive as these were as to the fate of Spanish colonialism, if not as to Filipinos’ destiny in general. Some (if not most) of these can be interpreted as the author’s prescriptions as what could be done best. Just like in the Noli task, you can glean these from the personalities, events, or even the slightest of the manifestations expressed throughout the novel. Be persistent and keen so as to exhaust everything that would respond to the question. Think freely and be open to surprising ideas. ☺ Ikutang Tanong para sa El Filibusterismo: Isang katuluyan ang tunguhing maipakita ng tatlong akda ni Rizal—1) ang anotasyon sa akdang pangkasaysayan ni Morga para sa “nakaraan,” 2) ang Noli para sa kanyang “kasalukuyan,” at 3) ang huli ay ang “hinaharap” sa pagkasangkapan nga ng Fili. Kaipala, ang Fili ay isang pagbubulay-bulay sa mga maaaring tugon o pormularyo ng di iilang aksyon hinggil sa namamayaning istruktura ng panahong iyon—pagsunod at asimilasyon, iba’t-ibang antas ng pagtutol (ang rurok ay tangkang pagkalas sa pamamagitan ng armadong pakikibaka). Batay sa kabanatang iyong pinili, palitawin lahat ng anyo ng mga pagtugon at aksyon ng mga Pilipino na siyang magtatakda ng kahihinatnan sa huli ng kolonyalismong Espanyol, kung hindi man ng mga Pilipino sa kabuuan. Maaari ring basahin ang ilan sa mga ito bilang siyang isinusulong ng may-akda na pinakamabuting gawin. Gaya ng sa Noli, makikita ang mga ito sa mga personalidad, tagpo, o maging mga pahapyaw na pahayag sa kabuuan ng nobela. Maging matiyaga at mapanuri upang mapalutang ang hinihingi ng sasaguting katanungan. Buksan ang malayang kaisipan. ☺
